EDIHs Mobility Services: Challenges and opportunities from the transport context change

Organised by DITECFER (Italian rail consortium) within the E-BOOST project, this webinar features HD-Motion and aims to connect SMEs with active players in the green and digital transformation.

Today’s transportation is a mix of solutions for citizens, each with different impacts and costs for users and organizers. However, new technologies are driving a profound shift, transforming transportation into mobility—a broader, more integrated concept that goes beyond vehicles to include services that enhance efficiency and quality for work, leisure, and daily commuting. The mobility sector is undergoing a dynamic transformation, led by technological advancements and an increasing focus on sustainability. This evolution not only improves transport services but also creates new opportunities for various stakeholders.

Mobility is no longer just about vehicles—it is about the services that shape how people move for work and leisure. Technological advancements act as a key driver of this change, enabling greater integration, improving safety and security, and fostering environmentally sustainable solutions. These aspects open significant opportunities for different actors in the mobility ecosystem, from public authorities to service providers and private companies. The challenge lies in ensuring that these innovations are effectively implemented to create accessible, efficient, and high-quality mobility solutions.

European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) play a pivotal role in supporting this transformation. Through various initiatives and funding programs, EDIHs provide resources to companies, helping them develop and implement new mobility solutions. Acting as facilitators, these hubs bring together different sectors to collaborate on projects that push the mobility revolution forward.
