ScotRail has issued a Request for Proposal (RfP) for the design of enhancements to the fire detection and suppression systems on its fleet of 40 Class 158 and 40 Class 156 diesel multiple units. The contract covers the development of upgrade solutions for the existing onboard fire protection equipment.
The opportunity is being procured through a negotiated procedure, with submissions required by 12:00 noon on 29 July 2026. Interested suppliers can access the procurement documents and submit proposals through the ScotRail Wax Digital e-sourcing portal.
