Part of the Scottish Leather Group, Muirhead supplies the global railway sector and supports rail operating companies, train manufacturers and passenger seat makers across a wide range of programmes.
In the rail sector, Muirhead specialises in meeting stringent fire performance requirements and has made significant investment in an EN45545 fire seat testing laboratory at its Bridge of Weir facility. This enables combination testing of seat composites to international rail standards, supporting both new build and refurbishment projects.
